Carnivellos CMS has been updated to Version 1.26.0.
We've been working hard behind the scenes to develop Carnivellos CMS to create a user friendly Content Management System (CMS) without the bloat. There are many CMS platforms out there that pile on features you'll never use — we're taking the opposite approach, keeping things lean and focused on what small businesses actually need.
What's new in 1.26.0: Maintenance Mode
Sometimes you need to make changes to a live site without visitors seeing a half-finished page. This update adds a proper maintenance mode to handle that:
- One toggle, fully customisable — switch it on from Settings, write your own message, and optionally add an image
- Visitors see a clean, friendly notice on every page of the site, not just the homepage
- You keep working as normal — logged-in admins and authors still see and edit the live site while everyone else sees the maintenance screen
- Search-engine friendly — the page returns the correct technical signal that this is temporary, so it won't harm your search rankings
As always, it's built simply and predictably: there's no automatic timeout, so you're in control of switching it back off when you're ready to go live again.
